Taking the Personal Styling course, even though it was just six sessions, truly opened up my world. Each homework assignment pushed me to research fashion further, introducing me to international clothing brands and sparking so much inspiration. I gained an understanding of different fashion eras and how they influence the design of garments today.

Before the course, I struggled with shopping for clothes—often buying items that didn’t suit me or that I never wore. But now, my next shopping trip will be easier and more purposeful. I’ve learned how to identify pieces that match my style, flatter my figure, and enhance my personality with the right colors and silhouettes.

Learning alongside classmates with diverse perspectives has been eye-opening, encouraging me to broaden my own viewpoint and style choices!

One of the most impactful parts of the course was learning how to create a Style Mood Board. It really reflected who I am, as I got to curate things I love and see a clearer picture of my personal style through it.

The styles I typically gravitate toward are quite diverse—full of colors, hippie vibes, and lots of accessories. Yellow, red, green, and blue are often present in my choices. Taking the Personal Styling course has helped me understand my personal style better. While I didn’t discover anything completely new about myself, I gained clarity about what I’ve always liked. I also learned how dressing is connected to color choices, fabric details, and proportions. It gave me the tools to dress in a way that enhances my best features.

I personally feel that the fashion industry is a powerful driving force. Simply by dressing differently, we can change how society perceives us—it’s truly fascinating!

I gained a better understanding of my body shape and learned how to dress in ways that suit me best. I’ve developed a preference for hip-hop and street style, leaning toward darker tones over bright ones. Oversized clothing, denim, sneakers, and silver accessories like necklaces or bracelets have become my go-to elements. Adding a bag that complements the outfit can also elevate the look without making it feel too ordinary.

I was really impressed by the depth of fashion knowledge I gained, as well as the variety of styles we explored. Pear’s teaching style is detailed, engaging, and easy to follow—I truly appreciated it.

Even after completing the course, I now have my own mood board to build on and continue developing my style. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the experience—there’s nothing I’d change!
